President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi heads today to New Delhi, India, to lead Egypt’s delegation at the 18th BRICS Summit, hosted by India on September 12–13, 2026, under the theme "Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability".

The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said Egypt’s participation marks the third consecutive year since joining the group in January 2024.

President El-Sisi is scheduled to deliver Egypt’s address during the closed session of BRICS leaders on September 12, as well as at the expanded session with the participation of member states and partners on September 13. The President will also hold bilateral meetings with several BRICS leaders and senior officials from international organizations on the sidelines of the summit.
