I know the suffering women go through because I was raised by a mother with eight children. I know what it's like to go hungry. I know what it's like for a mother to stand by a stove with eight children beside her and nothing to eat. And she said: "Not today, but tomorrow there will be. I know what women go through. As long as I'm alive, women can be sure that I will be there for them demanding that we men respect women, respect them, because they are the standard of decency in this country. So let's respect women, because in this country, any man who hits a woman will be arrested. [applause] will be arrested."
