"V4 JE OPÄŤ ŽIVÁ" - predsedovia vlád krajín V4 rokovali na Bratislavskom hrade aj s írskym premiérom
The Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic, Robert Fico, today welcomed the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Andrej Babiš, the Prime Minister of the Polish Republic, Donald Tusk, the Prime Minister of Hungary, Péter Magyar, and the Prime Minister of Ireland, Micheál Martin, at Bratislava Castle.
The Prime Ministers of the countries of the Visegrad Group, together with the Prime Minister of Ireland, discussed current issues of European politics, the future of the European Union and areas of common interest between the V4 countries and Ireland. The V4+ format provided space for an open exchange of views on European and international issues and for finding areas in which the V4 countries and Ireland can cooperate and promote common interests at the European level.
"The V4 countries follow developments very closely, and we considered it extremely useful to meet with the Prime Minister of the country that presides over the Council of the EU within the European Union," said Robert Fico.
According to Prime Minister Fico, it is important for the member states of the European Union to take into account the specificities of individual countries and their citizens when solving common challenges. "I want to publicly announce that we not only meet before each European Council meeting and coordinate our positions, but that we go even deeper and negotiate well in advance of the European Council meeting," Fico said, adding: "For the countries of the Visegrad Four, it is important to maintain a common agricultural policy while preparing the EU budget for the coming years, taking into account the specifics of individual countries and continue to strive to eliminate regional differences."
The negotiations also included specific topics such as greendeal, energy prices, fuel prices, energy, EU enlargement, migration, EU competitiveness, cohesion and elimination of regional differences, the topic of agriculture, emission permits, but also the situation in Ukraine, and others.
The prime ministers exchanged views on further developments in these areas and on the possibilities of cooperation in promoting the common interests of the EU member states.
"Allow me to declare that the V4 is alive again and is able to bring common positions to the most current topics," emphasized Prime Minister Fico, and in the end he said: "I use this opportunity to repeat that it will be a great ambition of the Slovak presidency to organize another V4 meeting in a short time. This time we want to invite the German Chancellor, and we also have a great ambition to meet by the end of this year with the French president. These are the decisive people when it comes to the functioning and life of the European Union, so we want to bring these topics that we have now discussed into this environment as well."

Premiéri krajín Vyšehradskej skupiny spolu s predsedom vlády Írska rokovali o aktuálnych otázkach európskej politiky, budúcnosti Európskej únie a oblastiach spoločného záujmu krajín V4 a Írska. Formát V4+ poskytol priestor na otvorenú výmenu názorov na európske a medzinárodné otázky a na hľadanie oblastí, v ktorých môžu krajiny V4 a Írsko spolupracovať a presadzovať spoločné záujmy na európskej úrovni. „Krajiny V4 veľmi dôsledne sledujú vývoj a považovali sme za mimoriadne užitočné stretnúť sa s predsedom vlády krajiny, ktorá v rámci Európskej únie predsedá Rade EÚ,“ uviedol Robert Fico. Podľa premiéra Fica je pre členské štáty Európskej únie dôležité, aby pri riešení spoločných výziev zohľadňovali aj špecifiká jednotlivých krajín a ich občanov. „Chcem verejne vyhlásiť, aby sme sa nielen stretávali pred každým zasadnutím Európskej rady a koordinovali svoje postoje, ale aby sme išli ešte hlbšie a rokovali už s dostatočným predstihom pred zasadnutím Európskej rady," povedal Fico a dodal: „Pre krajiny Vyšehradskej štvorky je pri príprave rozpočtu EÚ na nasledujúce roky dôležité zachovať spoločnú poľnohospodársku politiku so zohľadnením špecifík jednotlivých krajín a naďalej sa snažiť o odstraňovanie regionálnych rozdielov." Súčasťou rokovania boli aj konkrétne témy ako greendeal, ceny energií, ceny pohonných hmôt, energetika, rozširovanie EÚ, migrácia, konkurencieschopnosť EÚ, kohézia a odstraňovanie regionálnych rozdielov, téma poľnohospodárstva, emisných povoleniek, ale aj situácia na Ukrajine, a ďalšie. Premiéri si vymenili názory na ďalší vývoj v týchto oblastiach a na možnosti spolupráce pri presadzovaní spoločných záujmov členských štátov EÚ. „Dovoľte mi, aby som vyhlásil, že V4 je opäť živá a je schopná prinášať spoločné postoje k najaktuálnejším témam,“ zdôraznil premiér Fico a na záver povedal: „Využívam túto príležitosť, aby som zopakoval, že bude veľkou ambíciou slovenského predsedníctva zorganizovať v krátkom čase ďalšie zasadnutie V4. Tentoraz chceme pozvať nemeckého spolkového kancelára a rovnako máme veľkú ambíciu do konca tohto roku ešte sa stretnúť s francúzskym prezidentom. To sú rozhodujúci ľudia, pokiaľ ide o fungovanie a život Európskej únie, preto chceme tieto témy, ktoré sme si teraz prešli, dostať aj do tohto prostredia.“
