The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine wishes to inform farmers and their agents of the requirements to declare internal organic nutrient movements online.

The requirement to declare an internal movement only applies for the purposes of the following two Nitrates Measures:

In some cases, the same internal movement will meet the requirements for both measures.

These declarations must be made online using the new internal movement feature when declaring organic nutrient movements atMyAgFood, or on the Organic Nutrient Movement App.

For an internal movement there is a need to enter the following information:

The LPIS parcel(s) and their associated townland(s) declared on the farmer’s 2026 BISS will be available to select when declaring the movement.

Information on declaring an internal organic nutrient movement and step by step guides for declaring such a movement can be found onMyAgFood, via the Organic Nutrient Movement App and are also available onwww.gov.ie/nitrates.

The deadline for declaring an internal organic nutrient movement made in 2026 isThursday,31 December 2026.

From Friday, 1January 2027,internal organic nutrient movements must be declared to the Department online atMyAgFoodor on the Organic Movement Appwithin four daysof the movementtaking place.

The App is not available on the App store as it was created using a framework called Progressive Web Application (PWA).
