Ethiopia's journey to the African Free Trade Zone: a work built in practice Today at Mojo, we inaugurated the first phase of the expansion of a modern logistics center built on 60 hectares of land, which will play an important role in the success of Ethiopia and Africa's continental free trade zone. This huge project has stations and modern warehouses with the capacity to handle up to 1 million 20-foot containers per year, enabling us to pack dry dust loads in the country, not only saving foreign currency, but also creating ample job opportunities for our citizens. In order to increase the working speed of the center, the crane on the railway, which was installed for the first time in our country, carries out the transfer of containers from the railway line at high speed. As the entire system is connected with modern digital infrastructure, it ensures fast and reliable service to the users. This center is part of the 'Desu' corridor that connects Ethiopia, South Sudan and Uganda beyond the Ethio-Djibouti line. This is a great victory that will improve our country's position on the international logistics level and move our regional economic ties to a new phase of development.
