Joined a meeting with the heads of the All Ceylon Jamiatul Ulama Organization today (10) in the morning at the President's Office. The blessings of the All Ceylon Jamiatul Ulema Organization were expressed here for the program taken by the government to establish harmony, peace and harmony among all the people without allowing any racial conflict in the country and the program implemented to eradicate the scourge of toxic drugs which is destroying the future generations of the country. The problems that have arisen in the Muslim community in maintaining their religious and cultural activities were discussed at length. I emphasized here that a society should be built in which no community feels insecure or afraid because of its cultural identity and that the current government will take all measures for that. I met the leaders of the All Sri Lankan Jamiyatul Ulama Sabha today (10) in the morning at the President's office. The Jamiatul Ulama Council expressed its appreciation for the program carried out by the President-led government to ensure coexistence, peace and harmony among all people, and for the program implemented to eradicate the drug scourge that is causing the future generation of the country to fall, without allowing any ethnic conflict in the country. The problems faced by the Muslim community in carrying out their religious and cultural activities were discussed in detail. I emphasized that any community should build a society where there is no insecurity or fear in the community due to its cultural identity and the present government will take all measures for that. I met with the leaders of the All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama Organization at the Presidential Secretariat this morning (10). During the meeting, the All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama Organization expressed its support for the Government's efforts over the past two years to ensure peace, coexistence and reconciliation among all communities, without allowing any ethnic conflict to arise. Its support was also expressed for the government's program to eradicate the illicit drug menace that is destroying the country's future generations. The issues faced by the Muslim community in maintaining and conducting its religious and cultural activities were also discussed at length. I emphasized that we must build a society in which no community feels insecure or fearful because of its cultural identity and affirmed that the present government is taking all necessary measures towards achieving this goal.

සමස්ත ලංකා ජමියතුල් උලමා සංවිධානයේ ප්රධානීන් සමග හමුවකට අද (10) පෙරවරුවේ ජනාධිපති කාර්යාලයේදී එක්වීමි. පසුගිය දෙවසර තුළ රටේ කිසිදු ජාතිවාදී ගැටුමකට ඉඩ නොතබමින්, සියලු ජන කොටස් අතර සහජීවනය, සාමය සහ සංහිඳියාව තහවුරු කිරීමට රජය ගෙන ගිය වැඩපිළිවෙළටත්, රටේ අනාගත පරපුර විනාශ කරමින් පවතින විෂ මත්ද්රව්ය ව්යසනය මුලිනුපුටා දැමීම සඳහා ක්රියාත්මක කර ඇති වැඩපිළිවෙළටත් මෙහිදී සමස්ත ලංකා ජමියතුල් උලමා සංවිධානයේ ආශිර්වාදය පළ කෙරිණි. මුස්ලිම් ප්රජාව තම ආගමික සංස්කෘතික කටයුතු පවත්වාගෙන යාමේදී මතු වී ඇති ගැටලු පිළිබඳ මෙහිදී දීර්ඝ ලෙස සාකච්ඡාවට ලක් විය. කිසිදු ප්රජාවකට තම සංස්කෘතික අනන්යතාව හේතුවෙන් සමාජය තුළ අනාරක්ෂිත බවක් හෝ බියක් ඇති නොවන සමාජයක් ගොඩනැගිය යුතු බවත් වත්මන් රජය ඒ වෙනුවෙන් සියලු ක්රියාමාර්ග ගන්නා බවත් මෙහිදී අවධාරණය කළෙමි. அகில இலங்கை ஜம்இய்யத்துல் உலமா சபையின் தலைவர்களை இன்று (10) முற்பகல் ஜனாதிபதி அலுவலகத்தில் சந்தித்தேன். கடந்த இரண்டு வருடங்களாக நாட்டில் எந்தவொரு இனவாத மோதலுக்கும் இடமளிக்காது, அனைத்து மக்களுக்கும் இடையில் சகவாழ்வு, சமாதானம் மற்றும் நல்லிணக்கத்தை உறுதிப்படுத்துவதற்காக ஜனாதிபதி தலைமையிலான அரசாங்கம் முன்னெடுத்த வேலைத்திட்டத்திற்கும், நாட்டின் எதிர்கால சந்ததியை வீழ்ச்சிக்கு உட்படுத்தி வரும் போதைப்பொருள் பேரழிவை ஒழிப்பதற்காக நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ள வேலைத்திட்டத்திற்கும் ஜம்இய்யத்துல் உலமா சபை தமது பாராட்டுகளைத் தெரிவித்தது. முஸ்லிம் சமூகம் தமது சமய மற்றும் கலாசார நடவடிக்கைகளை முன்னெடுத்துச் செல்வதில் எதிர்கொண்டுள்ள பிரச்சினைகள் குறித்து இதன்போது விரிவாகக் கலந்துரையாடப்பட்டன. எந்தவொரு சமூகமும் தமது கலாசார அடையாளம் காரணமாக சமூகத்தில் பாதுகாப்பற்ற தன்மையோ அல்லது அச்சமோ இல்லாத ஒரு சமூகத்தைக் கட்டியெழுப்ப வேண்டும் என்பதுடன், தற்போதைய அரசாங்கம் அதற்காக அனைத்து நடவடிக்கைகளையும் எடுக்கும் என்பதையும் இதன்போது வலியுறுத்தினேன்.
