The Archbishop of Colombo His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith joined a meeting with Catholic religious leaders at the President's Office this morning (10). In the past two years, the Catholic religious leaders have blessed the government's program to establish harmony, peace and harmony among all the people without allowing any racial conflict in the country. Also, attention was paid to the progress of the investigation related to the Easter attack and the measures to be taken to solve the problems faced by the Catholic people including the development of infrastructure in the areas where they live were also discussed at length. I met Catholic religious leaders led by the Archbishop of Colombo, Cardinal Melcolm Ranjith, at the President's Office this morning (10). During the last two years, the Catholic religious leaders expressed their blessings for the program of the President-led government to ensure coexistence, peace and harmony among all the people, without allowing any ethnic conflict in the country. Also, attention was paid to the progress of investigations related to the Easter Sunday attack, and the measures to be taken to solve the problems faced by the Catholic community, including the development of infrastructural facilities in the areas where they live, were also discussed in detail. During the meeting, the Catholic religious leaders expressed their blessings for the government's program over the past two years to ensure coexistence, peace and reconciliation among all communities, without allowing any ethnic conflict to arise in the country. The progress of investigations into the Easter Sunday attacks was also discussed, while extensive attention was given to the steps that should be taken to address the issues faced by the Catholic community, including the development of infrastructure in areas where Catholic communities reside.
