Madrid, Sept. 10 (SANA)Barcelonabegan theirUEFA Champions League campaignwith a 5-1 victory over Dutch visitors Feyenoord at Spotify Camp Nou on Wednesday in the opening round of the competition.

Brazilian winger Raphinhascored twice for Barcelona in the third and 58th minutes, while new signing Karim Adeyemi found the net in the 22nd minute.Lamine Yamaladded a fourth from a direct free kick in the 78th minute before substitute Jesus completed the scoring for the hosts.

Sem Steijn scored Feyenoord’s only goal in the 82nd minute.

This was the fourth time Barcelona have scored five goals in their five matches across all competitions since the beginning of the season, with Feyenoord joining Elche,Rayo Vallecanoand Valencia on the list.

According to Opta statistics, Barcelona secured their 19th victory in 21 home matches played at the start of aChampions League campaign,alongside one draw and one defeat.

The win gave Barcelona their first three points as they seek to reclaim the European title, which they last won in 2015.
