Qatar and Yemen Condemn Netanyahu’s Illegal Entry Into Syrian Territory
Doha/ Aden, Sept. 10 (SANA)QatarandYemenon Thursday strongly condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’sillegal entryinto Syrian territory, stressing that the move constitutes a blatant violation of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and poses a serious threat to regional security and stability.
Both countries issued statements denouncing Netanyahu’s unauthorized presence in Syrian lands, stressing that such actions represent an unacceptable escalation and undermine international legitimacy.
Qatar’s Foreign Ministry, in a statement posted on X, called for urgent international action to compel theIsraeli occupationto comply with international resolutions, particularly the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement, and to halt its repeated attacks on Syrian territory to prevent further escalation and tension in the region.
Qatar reaffirmed its full support for Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity and its solidarity with the Syrian people in achieving security, stability and prosperity.
In a statement posted on X, Yemen’s Foreign Ministry likewise rejected the Israeli occupation’s aggressive practices and continued violations of Syrian territory, stressing that its continued occupation of parts of Syrian territory, along with military movements and unilateral measures, constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and relevant international resolutions, as well as a breach of obligations under the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement.
The ministry also reaffirmed Yemen’s steadfast support for the Syrian Arab Republic and the Syrian people’s right to safeguard their country’s sovereignty, unity, independence and territorial integrity and to build their future in a manner that preserves security and stability and meets their aspirations.
Syria on Wednesday strongly condemned Netanyahu’s illegal entry into Syrian territory and his tour of Mount Hermon, calling on the United Nations, international organizations and influential countries to assume their responsibilities in stopping these attacks.
