The IMO is conducting a survey to obtain an overview of the level of implementation and actual use of maritime single windows, and to identify good practices, challenges, and opportunities for further development.

It is intended for maritime administrations, port authorities, customs and othergovernmentagencies,informationsystemoperators,shippingcompanies,shipagents,freightforwarders,portterminaloperators,andotherstakeholdersinvolvedintheelectronicexchangeofdatainmaritimetransport.

The findings collected will serve as a basis for further IMO activities in the field of the digitalization of maritime formalities and the development of maritime single window systems at the global level. The results will be presented to theIMO Facilitation Committee(external link).
