Amman, Sept. 09 (SANA)Syrian nationalkarate team athleteMayas Othman won a bronze medal on Tuesday at the Asian Cadet and Junior Karate Championships,  held in theJordanian capital, Amman.

Othman won the bronze medal in the under-16 category, under-54 kg weight class.

This is the first medal for theSyrian national teamat these championships, in which Syria is participating with more than 20 male andfemale athletes.
