Within the framework of the Kingdom of Bahrain's presidency of the 46th session of the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, the Kingdom hosted the 17th meeting of the Committee of Heads and Directors of Tax Departments of the GCC countries, chaired by Ms. Rana Ibrahim Faqihi, Chief Executive of the National Bureau for Revenue. The meeting comes within the framework of continuous efforts to enhance cooperation and coordination between the tax departments of the GCC countries, exchange expertise and best practices, and contribute to developing systems and mechanisms to support Gulf economic integration. The meeting discussed a number of topics on the agenda, most notably improving the efficiency of existing systems, building an advanced digital ecosystem that supports economic integration, and developing unified legislation and mechanisms, alongside reviewing key relevant developments and exchanging best practices and expertise to support the common goals of the GCC states. The meeting concluded by emphasizing the importance of continuing joint work. And building upon the results achieved. To strengthen the path of cooperation. And economic integration among the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.
