The first meeting of the Joint Steering Committee between the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Nations for this year was held, chaired by Ambassador Shaikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa, Director General of Bilateral Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the meeting, the Director General emphasized the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to further strengthening cooperation with the United Nations by implementing the Strategic Partnership Framework for the 2025–2029 period, which contributes to accelerating the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. The meeting also reviewed the results of consultative workshops for joint result groups between government entities and the UN Country Team. Furthermore, the Director General of Bilateral Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received the 2025–2026 Annual Report of the UN Country Team from the UN Resident Coordinator to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
