استقبالات الرئيس عون المصورة ليوم الاثنين 7 أيلول 2026
Hey. Hey. He. I wanted today in this visit and meeting with His Excellency the President to confirm. Yes. The negotiation path that the Lebanese state is pursuing. Led by His Excellency the President of the Republic. I know we hear criticisms from time to time from here and there. That is natural. We are a democratic country. Everyone has the right to have an opinion, for or against. But what is more important, and what I want to confirm from the information I have. From abroad, not just from inside Lebanon. The only solution in Lebanon’s hands today, and in the President’s hands, is negotiation. Because when Lebanon is sitting at a negotiating table, It is not sitting to negotiate with Israel. It is sitting with America. It is sitting with all the countries allied with America. It is sitting with the West. It is sitting with the Arab Gulf, which is also an ally to America. For a reason. Lebanon’s positioning at the negotiating table is in preparation for the coming phase. The two months after, which will have some turmoil in the whole region and in South Lebanon. As you know, there are elections in Israel next month. After that, the American elections come. And after Christmas and New Year, the negotiation path will begin. And the realization of what is being prepared today. What will happen with the file...With the South file. The Israeli withdrawal file. The gas and oil file in the South. The reconstruction file, all of it is postponed until after New Year’s due to these elections. For this reason, it is necessary to remain at the negotiating table. And a negotiating table as long as the solution for the region is coming. The big fog we all see today is black. But the solution is coming. So Lebanon is not, God forbid, sitting under the table. Today, Lebanon alone is sitting at the table. No one is negotiating on its behalf except the President, the Lebanese government, and the Lebanese state. And this is the important thing. The remaining details have become political disputes I do not want to enter into. But the path taken by the President is the only and best one. Mr. Prime Minister, regarding this period you are talking about, if there are now criticisms bordering on accusations of treason, what is your opinion on how the internal situation will be politically in Lebanon until then? Now, whoever wants to accuse others of treason must propose an alternative. Whoever wants to accuse others of treason must propose an alternative. What is the alternative? Do we accuse ...Each other, or insult each other, or criticize each other without having an alternative? Today, instead of accusing , I can say I do not agree with this path, and here is the alternative I have. And I believe this alternative will yield results for the country. But to criticize just to criticize or accuse just to accuse, one is shooting themselves in the foot. They are shooting the country in the foot. For this reason, my information from abroad says our options...Our only option is negotiation. Our only option is to remain in contact and negotiation with the United States and its allies in the region. As for the military negotiation happening with Israel, that is a side technical file. I will see what it yields, even if it hasn't yielded results yet. Let us see if it doesn't yield anything. And it might not yield anything. If it doesn't yield anything, its importance becomes very small. Compared to us being with the Americans , with the West, with the Gulf states, with Egypt, and with Turkey. And with all these effective countries in the region, we must be present at the table . This is the foundation. Thank you. Hey. Good morning. We were honored to visit His Excellency the President of the Republic. The visit was necessary from time to time to discuss some matters, follow up, and consult. And to get his opinion and guidance on some matters we are handling on the ground, but. Of course, there is no doubt the South issue took an important space in all the meetings. Because the South is wounded. There is no doubt that the Jews—the Israelis—do not show mercy to anyone. Just as we are also not showing mercy to our homeland by what those on the ground are doing. If there is no warm embrace and we do not return to the nation, all of us together under the roof of citizenship and the homeland. We are heading toward a greater collapse. And we are all harmed together. Meaning, we are all defeated. Let us not be arrogant and pretend that we are victorious with imaginary victories. This issue is a great wound in this country. We must put an end to it. It must be handed over. We must head in a sound direction, that we are all under. The roof of this nation. We also talked about matters, of course, we have necessary social issues. Which is that we are at the doors of schools and the doors of winter. Schools, no doubt, parents have a lot of difficulty registering their children. Also, the cold begins for us from 700 meters and up. It requires consideration for the families to have studied prices regarding diesel. So that they can continue in their country, their villages, and their region. So this subject also took an important space. I also thanked him for the sentence reduction law. Because we have what they call a general amnesty law. But it is, by custom, science, and logic, a reduction law. I also thanked him for signing the decree. Because it also really eased the people on the street and eased the situation. We kept and were keen that the blood of the martyrs is not the blood of one party in Lebanon. For all Lebanese, the blood of the martyrs means everyone. So we do not want to outbid each other. With some parties who are now outbidding and thinking that they are the sole guardians of the matter. No, all Lebanese care about every drop of the Lebanese Army’s blood. And we are all keen that the Lebanese Army remains in its position, its prestige, and its presence. Because it is the guarantor for all of Lebanon. So these were almost all the matters we discussed. Thank you, and may God give you wellness. Mr. Ibrahim, regarding the airport issue, is it really going to launch? This is among the conversations we had with His Excellency the President, and it is something comforting that in the North, God willing, there are prospects like the Qulayaat airport and the railway; the Qulayaat airport has reached very advanced steps for flights to take off, and Turkey was the first country to take the initiative and give the okay to receive flights from Lebanon, so we are definitely translating this effort practically. It will also be comfortable for the people of Akkar, perhaps in particular. And for the people of the North, and also for all of Lebanon. In the end, there is another outlet, that you can fly from here or fly from here. And we hope there will be more than one airport in Lebanon, so that the citizens can be at ease. So, God willing, the situation is very positive. And His Excellency the President stands in full support of the airport.
