The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, in conjunction with the Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment and stakeholders have organised six Hazardous Waste Collection days to take place in six regions across the country.

This initiative continues the implementation of the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) National Hazardous Waste Management Plan (NHWMP) 2021-2027. The 2026 collections build on the success of the 2025 collection days, which removed 207,000 kg of hazardous waste.
