Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi Meets Head and Members of Al-Jamaheer Parliamentary Bloc •••••••••• Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi met today, Tuesday, with Mr. Mizar Sufi Al-Shammari, Head of Al-Jamaheer Parliamentary Bloc, and members of the bloc. During the meeting, they reviewed service and economic conditions, the government’s efforts to combat corruption, and progress in implementing development plans. The Prime Minister affirmed that the government will hold its upcoming sessions in the governorates, beginning with Diwaniyah Governorate, followed by Salah Al-Din Governorate, to closely assess and address service-related issues and complete infrastructure in a way that enhances stability and supports the development process. The Prime Minister noted that the government has adopted a practical approach to developing the oil sector to increase production and diversify export outlets. He also noted that the government has adopted new investment approaches to infrastructure development, using the Development Fund to finance projects, alongside launching the land distribution project (One Million Residential Land Plots Project) to address the housing crisis. ••••• Media Office of the Prime Minister September 8, 2026
