The head of state met with the Secretary General of the World Customs Organization ✔️ President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Secretary General of the World Customs Organization Ian Saunders in Akorda. ✔️ The head of state noted that cooperation with the World Customs Organization plays an important role in improving the customs legislation in the country and increasing the efficiency of the customs administration. ✔️ The President said that Kazakhstan is making great efforts to strengthen transport links in Eurasia and create favorable conditions for cargo transportation. He also said that the "smart border" model is being consistently developed, and digital solutions are widely used to optimize customs procedures. ✔️ Ian Saunders praised the pace of relations between the World Customs Organization and Kazakhstan and noted that our country has achieved significant success in improving customs administration, introducing modern digital solutions and strengthening the institutional competence of relevant bodies. ✔️ The President and the head of the Organization confirmed that they are committed to further strengthening the mutually beneficial cooperation that has been successfully progressing for more than 30 years.
