Oman, Rwanda sign agreements to expand trade, investment cooperation

Muscat, Sept. 8 (SANA)Oman andRwandasigned two agreements and six memoranda of understanding on Tuesday, expanding cooperation in areas including investment, agriculture, logistics and trade during Rwandan President Paul Kagame’s official visit to the Gulf state.

The agreements include reciprocal visa exemptions for holders of diplomatic, service and special passports and an accord aimed at eliminating double taxation, the Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.

Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi and his Rwandan counterpart Olivier Nduhungirehe signed the agreements alongside other ministers from the two countries.

The two sides also signed six memoranda of understanding covering agriculture, logistics, the development of land and dry ports, supply chain services, investment promotion, labor and strategic investment cooperation.

The agreements were signed as part of Kagame’s official visit toOman, aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and expanding economic and investment partnerships between the two countries.kA/ABD
