Ms Sabury is a senior public sector professional with more than 25 years of experience covering strategic leadership, public administration, social policy, substance abuse prevention and rehabilitation, trafficking in persons, district administration and psychosocial services. Prior to her appointment, she was serving as Executive Director in the Office of the Minister for Homeland Security and Civil Affairs, where she provided strategic, administrative and operational support for the implementation and coordination of the Ministry’s priorities.

From April 2023 to November 2025, Ms Sabury served as Director of the Trafficking in Persons Secretariat within the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In that capacity, she led Seychelles’ national coordination efforts to combat Trafficking in Persons and Smuggling of Migrants, including implementation of the National Action Plan, coordination of the national inter-agency task force, strengthening victim identification and referral mechanisms, and engagement with national and international partners.

Earlier in her career, Ms Sabury held senior responsibilities within the Division for Substance Abuse Prevention, Treatment and Rehabilitation, where she oversaw social reintegration and harm reduction services. She has also served as District Administrator for Mont Buxton and as a Senior School Counsellor with the Ministry of Education.

Ms Sabury holds a Master of Arts in Strategic Leadership in the Social Domain, as well as a Diploma in District Administration and professional qualifications and training in treatment, social policy and public administration. She is also a certified national trainer in Trafficking in Persons and Smuggling of Migrants, having undertaken training in collaboration with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and INTERPOL.

The new appointment take effect from 1st September 2026.
