Inicia gestión de nueva Secretaria General del SICA
Vice President Félix Ulloa participated in the Ceremony of Beginning of the Management of Ambassador Lina Eugenia Ajoy as Secretary General of SICA for the period 2026-2030, within the framework of the Pro Tempore Presidency of the Government of Belize.
Vice President Ulloa congratulated the new Secretary General on the beginning of her administration and expressed his best wishes for success in this new responsibility, while reiterating El Salvador's commitment to continue strengthening the Central American integration process, through dialogue, cooperation and joint work.
In her first institutional message, the new Secretary General, Ms. Lina Ajoy, thanked the high authorities of the Member States for the trust placed in her and reaffirmed her willingness to promote management based on closeness and consensus-building.
He highlighted that they are the heart of the System and assured that the General Secretariat of SICA will work hand in hand with them, constantly listening to their needs. Likewise, he thanked the observer and cooperating partners for the support provided, whose contribution he described as tangible and fundamental for the development of the region.
The ceremony was chaired by the Ambassador of Belize, Mrs. Amalia Mai, representative of the Pro Tempore Presidency of SICA, and was attended by the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Adriana Mira, representatives of the Member States, members of the Diplomatic Corps, international organizations and development partners.1

El Vicepresidente Félix Ulloa, participó en la Ceremonia de Inicio de Gestión de la Embajadora Lina Eugenia Ajoy como Secretaria General del SICA para el período 2026-2030, en el marco de la Presidencia Pro Tempore del Gobierno de Belice. El Vicepresidente Ulloa felicitó a la nueva Secretaria General por el inicio de su gestión y le expresó sus mejores deseos de éxito en esta nueva responsabilidad, al tiempo que reiteró el compromiso de El Salvador de continuar fortaleciendo el proceso de integración centroamericana, mediante el diálogo, la cooperación y el trabajo conjunto. En su primer mensaje institucional, la nueva Secretaria General, la Sra. Lina Ajoy, agradeció a las altas autoridades de los Estados miembros por la confianza depositada en ella y reafirmó su voluntad de impulsar una gestión basada la cercanía y la construcción de consensos. Destacó que son el corazón del Sistema y aseguró que la Secretaría General del SICA trabajará de la mano con ellos, manteniendo una escucha permanente de sus necesidades. Asimismo, agradeció a los socios observadores y cooperantes por el apoyo brindado, cuya contribución calificó como tangible y fundamental para el desarrollo de la región. La ceremonia fue presidida por la Embajadora de Belice, Sra. Amalia Mai, representante de la Presidencia Pro Tempore del SICA, y contó con la participación de la Viceministra de Relaciones Exteriores, Sra. Adriana Mira, representantes de los Estados miembros, miembros del Cuerpo Diplomático, organismos internacionales y socios para el desarrollo.1
