Le Burundi accueille la 4ᵉ édition du Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Bujumbura Futures
The President of the Republic of Burundi, His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye, held, on August 19, 2026 at the Ntare Rushatsi Palace, meetings with different personalities, devoted in particular to strengthening cooperation relations with different countries and supporting young Burundian innovators carrying initiatives contributing to the development of the country.
The Burundian Number One first received Mr. Upender Singh Rawat, Ambassador of India to Burundi, with residence in Kampala, who came to mark the end of his diplomatic mission. The exchanges made it possible to salute the quality of the collaboration between the Indian diplomat and the Burundian authorities throughout his mandate, and to reaffirm the ties of friendship and cooperation which unite the two countries.
The Ambassador, on this occasion, informed the Burundian Head of State of the situation relating to the preparations for the next BRICS Summit, planned in India very soon. In his capacity as current President of the African Union, His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye expressed his availability to participate in this meeting, in order to represent Burundi and to carry the voice of Africa.
President Ndayishimiye also received Mr. Hubertus Ulrich Klink, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany in Burundi, with residence in Bujumbura, who came to present his credentials to him. The discussions focused on the prospects for consolidating cooperation between Burundi and Germany, particularly in the areas of health, education and access to water. The project to create a cultural center in Gitega, in the former premises occupied by the Germans, was also mentioned.
Continuing his discussions, His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye, Burundian Head of State, met ten young innovators finalists of the 4th edition of Inkerebutsi day. These young people had the opportunity to present their projects, but also to share the difficulties encountered in their implementation.
In his capacity as Friend of Youth and Champion of the African Union for the Youth, Peace and Security Agenda, His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye, praised their commitment, their creativity and the relevance of their initiatives, some of which directly contribute to improving the well-being of populations.
The Father of the Nation also encouraged them to continue their efforts and further develop their projects, while assuring them of his support. He also announced that he would visit their workplaces to inquire directly about the progress of their initiatives.

L’Ambassadeur a, à cette occasion, informé le Chef de l’Etat burundais de la situation relative aux préparatifs du prochain Sommet des BRICS, prévu en Inde très prochainement. En sa qualité de Président en exercice de l’Union africaine, Son Excellence Evariste Ndayishimiye a exprimé sa disponibilité à participer à ce rendez-vous, afin d’y représenter le Burundi et de porter la voix de l’Afrique. Le Président Ndayishimiye a également reçu Monsieur Hubertus Ulrich Klink, Ambassadeur Extraordinaire et Plénipotentiaire de la République Fédérale d’Allemagne au Burundi, avec résidence à Bujumbura, venu lui présenter ses lettres de créance. Les échanges ont porté sur les perspectives de consolidation de la coopération entre le Burundi et l’Allemagne, notamment dans les domaines de la santé, de l’éducation et de l’accès à l’eau. Le projet de création d’un centre culturel à Gitega, dans les anciens locaux occupés par les Allemands, a également été évoqué. Poursuivant ses échanges, Son Excellence Evariste Ndayishimiye, Chef de l’Etat burundais, a rencontré dix jeunes innovateurs finalistes de la 4ème édition d’Inkerebutsi day. Ces jeunes ont eu l’opportunité de présenter leurs projets, mais également de partager les difficultés rencontrées dans leur mise en œuvre. En sa qualité d’Ami des Jeunes et de Champion de l’Union africaine pour l’Agenda Jeunesse, Paix et Sécurité, Son Excellence Evariste Ndayishimiye, a salué leur engagement, leur créativité et la pertinence de leurs initiatives, dont certaines contribuent directement à l’amélioration du bien-être des populations. Le Père de la Nation les a par ailleurs encouragés à poursuivre leurs efforts et à développer davantage leurs projets, tout en leur assurant de son accompagnement. Il a également annoncé qu’il se rendrait sur leurs lieux de travail afin de s’enquérir directement de l’évolution de leurs initiatives.
