Turismo y RD Vial lanzan plan nacional de señalética turística
Santo Domingo.- The Minister of Tourism, David Collado, launched this Wednesday the National Tourist Road Signage Plan to guarantee, standardize, modernize and optimize road orientation in the country's main tourist destinations. Accompanied by the director of RD-Vial, Hostos Rizik Lugo, Minister Collado described the scope of the initiative and its impact on the mobility and safety of tourists and local visitors in the different destinations.
He said that the innovative plan will facilitate land accessibility through a clear hierarchy of directional and preventive signs.
“The objective of this plan is to standardize, modernize and optimize road orientation towards the country's main cultural, natural and sun and beach attractions, improving the visitor experience and road safety,” Minister Collado stressed.
He stated that the project will consolidate the visual identity of the destinations under the institutional guidelines of the Ministry of Tourism.
Rizik Lugo highlighted the importance of the program, which, in his opinion, strengthens the image of the country as a tourist destination.
I assure that the National Tourist Road Signage Plan creates a security ecosystem that strengthens tourism.
The initiative is carried out, in a first phase, in La Altagracia, El Seibo, Samaná, Puerto Plata, Pedernales, María Trinidad Sánchez and Santiago.

Manifestó que el proyecto consolidará laidentidad visualde los destinos bajo los lineamientos institucionales delMinisterio de Turismo. Rizik Lugo destacó la importancia del programa, que, a su juicio,fortalece la imagen del paíscomo destino turístico. Aseguro que el Plan Nacional de Señalética Vial Turística crea unecosistema de seguridadque fortalece el turismo.
