Presidential media adviser visits SANA on first anniversary of the Agency’s relaunch

Damascus, Aug. 19 (SANA)Presidential Adviser for the Media Affairs,Ahmad Muaffaq Zaidan, visited on Wednesday theSyrian Arab News Agency (SANA)HQ and met its Director General, Ziad al-Mahamid, as the Agency celebrates the first anniversary of its relaunch.

Accompanied by al-Mahamid, Zaidan toured SANA’s departments, including editorial, digital media and languages, and reviewed the agency’s news production processes and efforts to develop its media services.

Zaidan stressed the importance of enhancing coordination and integration among state media outlets, praising SANA’s role and the development of its editorial approach and news coverage over the past year.

Al-Mahamid, for his part, outlined key developments at the Agency during the past year, including the expansion of its multilingual services.

SANA currently publishes content in Arabic, Kurdish, French, English, Spanish and Turkish and has trained correspondents to work in those languages.

Al-Mahamid also highlighted the expansion of SANA’s digital presence and the diversification of its platforms to reach wider audiences, as well as the growth of its correspondent network across a number of Arab, regional and Western countries.
