London, Aug. 19 (SANA)U.K. Special Representativefor Syria, Barrie Peach, expressed Wednesday deep concern over Israeli airstrikes that targeted theAbu al-Duhurmilitary airbase inSyria’s Idlib province, saying the attack risks further destabilizing the country.

In a post on X, Peach said the strike “destabilizes Syria” and renewed his call for the Israeli occupation to respect Syrian sovereignty and return to the negotiating table.

Peach stressed that dialogue and diplomacy remain the means to securing a more peaceful future for all, according to his statement.The Israeli strikes on the Abu al-Duhur military airbase on Tuesday have drawn widespread condemnation, amid calls for the international community to assume its responsibilities and take steps to halt Israeli attacks on Syrian territory.‏MHD
