Jong talent krijgt opnieuw een podium tijdens Telesur Got Talent
After a seven-year hiatus, the Telesur Got Talent show is back. This is the result of collaboration between the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports, Telesur and other partners. The Telesur Got Talent 2026 show is intended to offer young people a meaningful way to spend their time during the holidays and to develop talents. The show started on August 18, 2026 in the Antony Nesty Sports Hall (ANS). In this first preliminary round, ten secondary schools presented their talents in the field of singing, dancing and drama. This happened in the presence of Ministers Dirk Currie of Education, Science and Culture and Lalinie Gopal of Youth Development and Sport.
The minister emphasized the importance of a platform where young people can discover and develop their talent. “Young people have so much talent, but there is no platform where they can identify it and develop it further,” said Minister Gopal. She underlined the involvement of various partners and the business community as follows: “We have said that everyone must invest in young people. Because we say nicely: “Youth are the future”, but let us also add action to our words.”
“We must invest in them now to ensure that we do not lose a generation,” the minister added. According to her, the competition has a national character. “We have approached all districts and all secondary schools. It is nationwide,” Minister Gopal emphasized. The evening started with a pre-show, where each school had exactly two minutes to introduce the audience to its talent. The participating schools are NATIN, VWO 4, Imeao 2, HAVO 3, HAVO 4, SMO, AMS, Lyceum 1, Lyceum 2 and School Community Para.
Before the competition, 30 schools in different districts were visited. Fifteen subsequently registered, of which ten ultimately participated. A total of ten shows are planned, on Tuesdays and Fridays. The presentation is in the hands of the MCs Tirza Perk and Priscilla Graanoogst. The jury consists of Brigitte Hilversum and Rodney Deekman and guest jury member Alida Neslo. With Telesur Got Talent 2026, young people have the opportunity to show their creativity, gain experience and further develop their talent.

De Telesur Got Talent 2026 show is bedoeld om jongeren een zinvolle tijdsbesteding te bieden in de vakantie en talenten te ontwikkelen. De show is op 18 augustus 2026 in de Antony Nesty Sporthal (ANS) van start gegaan. Bij deze eerste voorronde presenteerden tien middelbare scholen hun talenten op het gebied van zang, dans en drama. Want we zeggen mooi: “De jeugd is de toekomst”, maar laten we ook daden voegen aan onze woorden.” “We moeten nu investeren in hen om ervoor te zorgen dat we geen generatie verliezen”, voegde de bewindsvrouw eraan toe. De competitie heeft volgens haar een landelijk karakter. “Alle districten en alle middelbare scholen hebben we benaderd. Het is nationwide”, benadrukte minister Gopal. De avond begon met een pre-show, waarbij iedere school precies twee minuten kreeg om het publiek kennis te laten maken met haar talent. De deelnemende scholen zijn NATIN, VWO 4, Imeao 2, HAVO 3, HAVO 4, SMO, AMS, Lyceum 1, Lyceum 2 en Scholengemeenschap Para. Voorafgaand aan de competitie zijn 30 scholen in verschillende districten bezocht. Vijftien meldden zich vervolgens aan, waarvan uiteindelijk tien deelnemen. In totaal staan er tien shows gepland, op de dinsdagen en vrijdagen. De presentatie is in handen van de MC’s Tirza Perk en Priscilla Graanoogst. De jury bestaat uit Brigitte Hilversum en Rodney Deekman en gastjurylid Alida Neslo. Met Telesur Got Talent 2026 krijgen jongeren de gelegenheid hun creativiteit te tonen, ervaring op te doen en hun talent verder te ontwikkelen.
