Siuben presenta alcance de Inspire 2026 para actualizar el Registro Social Universal de Hogares
Santiago.-The Single Beneficiary System (Siuben) presented in Santiago the scope of the Inspire 2026 project, an initiative that contemplates new socioeconomic information surveys to update and expand the Universal Social Household Registry and have data that contributes to guiding the planning and targeting of social policies and programs.
The presentation was led by the general director of Siuben, Augusto de los Santos, during a meeting held at the Provincial Government of Santiago, with the participation of the governor Rosa Santos; the senator of Santiago, Daniel Rivera; the mayor of Santiago Oeste, Eddy Báez; the regional director of the National Health Service (SNS), Bernardo Hilario; the vice mayor of Santiago Oeste, ArisleydaLantigua; the representative for Santiago, Daisy Díaz, and the Regional Manager of Siuben in Santiago, Geraldo Ortiz, among other sectoral authorities.
During the day, de los Santos explained that the project responds to the need to have updated socioeconomic information on households and territories, as a basis for improving the institutional capacity to identify conditions of vulnerability and support decision-making.
"Our challenge is to be able to identify vulnerable families and, from there, have information that allows them to connect with social programs and policies. To achieve this, we need updated, reliable and representative data of the conditions in which households live," stated the general director of Siuben.
De los Santos pointed out that the Universal Social Registry of Households constitutes a strategic tool for the social protection system, by concentrating information that allows knowing the socioeconomic characteristics of households and supporting the planning and targeting processes of public interventions.
In that sense, he explained that Inspire 2026 includes interventions in Pedernales, Independencia, Bahoruco, Barahona and Montecristi, in addition to prioritized territories of Santo Domingo and Santiago, according to poverty maps.
For her part, the governor of Santiago valued the territorial deployment of Siuben and the importance of bringing these initiatives closer to the communities, highlighting that knowledge of local realities provides elements to better understand the needs of the population and favor the articulation of institutional responses.
The project includes a preparatory stage that includes updating the cartography of the territories, selecting and training field personnel, and carrying out operational tests, prior to carrying out home visits.
During the field phase, the personnel hired by Siuben, who have been selected from the municipalities and sectors where the surveys will be carried out, will collect information on the socioeconomic conditions and living characteristics of the selected households. Subsequently, the data will be subjected to review, validation and quality control processes, before being incorporated into the Universal Social Registry of Households.
The general director of Siuben highlighted the importance of coordination with provincial and municipal authorities to facilitate the development of the operation in the territories.
"Coordination with local authorities is essential to bring this process closer to the communities and make it easier for the population to know its purpose. This is an effort that requires territorial coordination and will allow us to continue improving the quality of the information available to the State," said De los Santos.
Institutional agenda in Santiago
As part of his work agenda in the province, the general director of Siuben held a meeting with the mayor of Santiago, José Ulises Rodríguez Guzmán, and participated in the programs “Matinal Meeting”, “El Poder de la Mañana” and “El Patrón de la Tarde”, spaces in which he addressed the objectives of the Inspire 2026 project, the function of the Universal Social Registry of Households and the mechanisms that Siuben has to keep family information updated.
With this initiative, Siuben continues to advance in the generation and updating of socioeconomic information, with the purpose that the Dominican State has reliable and timely data that contributes to guiding planning, optimizing the allocation of benefits, improving the efficiency of public spending and guaranteeing adequate targeting of social policies and programs.

De los Santos señaló que el Registro Social Universal de Hogares constituye unaherramienta estratégicapara el sistema de protección social, al concentrar información que permite conocer lascaracterísticas socioeconómicas de los hogaresy apoyar los procesos deplanificación y focalización de las intervenciones públicas. En ese sentido, explicó que Inspire 2026 contempla intervenciones enPedernales, Independencia, Bahoruco, Barahona y Montecristi, además de territorios priorizados de Santo Domingo y Santiago, según los mapas de pobreza. De su lado, la gobernadora de Santiagovaloró el despliegue territorialdel Siuben y la importancia de acercar estas iniciativas a las comunidades, destacando que el conocimiento de las realidades locales aporta elementos para comprender mejor las necesidades de la población y favorecer la articulación de lasrespuestas institucionales. El proyecto contempla una etapa preparatoria que incluye laactualización cartográficade los territorios,selección y capacitacióndel personal de campo y realización de pruebas operativas, previo al desarrollo de las visitas a los hogares. Durante la fase de campo, el personal contratado por el Siuben, que ha sido seleccionado de los municipios y sectores donde se realizarán los levantamientos, recopilarán información sobre las condiciones socioeconómicas y características de vida de los hogares seleccionados. Posteriormente, los datos serán sometidos a procesosde revisión, validación y control de calidad, antes de su incorporación al Registro Social Universal de Hogares. El director general del Siuben resaltó la importancia de la coordinación con las autoridades provinciales y municipales para facilitar eldesarrollo del operativoen los territorios. “La coordinación con las autoridades locales es fundamental para acercar este proceso a las comunidades y facilitar que la población conozca su propósito. Este es un esfuerzo que requiere articulación territorial y que nos permitirá seguir mejorando la calidad de la información con la que cuenta el Estado”,expresó De los Santos. Agenda institucional en Santiago Como parte de su agenda de trabajo en la provincia, el director general del Siuben sostuvo una reunión con el alcalde de Santiago,José Ulises Rodríguez Guzmán, y participó en los programas “Encuentro Matinal”, “El Poder de la Mañana” y “El Patrón de la Tarde”, espacios en los que abordó los objetivos del proyecto Inspire 2026, la función del Registro Social Universal de Hogares y los mecanismos que dispone el Siuben paramantener actualizada la información de las familias. Con esta iniciativa, el Siuben continúa avanzando en lageneración y actualización de información socioeconómica, con el propósito de que el Estado dominicano disponga dedatos confiables y oportunosque contribuyan a orientar la planificación, optimizar la asignación de beneficios,mejorar la eficiencia del gasto públicoy garantizar una adecuada focalización de las políticas y programas sociales.
