Damascus, Aug. 19 (SANA)PresidentAhmad al-Sharaahas issued adecreegranting students fromSweida governoratean exceptional examination session for theBasic Educationand General Secondary Education certificates.Decree No. 163 of 2026 allows eligible students to sit for the Basic Education Certificate examinations and all branches of the General Secondary Education Certificate examinations, under the same rules and conditions applied to the regular examinations.The measure covers students from Sweida who did not sit for the 2026 examination session, as well as those who were unable to complete all required examination subjects.Under the decree, the Minister of Education will issue the executive instructions necessary for its implementation.R.D/ABD
