Yemen, UAE and Muslim World League condemn Israeli strikes on Syria
Capitals, Aug. 19 (SANA)Yemen, theUnited Arab Emiratesandthe Muslim World LeaguecondemnedIsraeli airstrikesonAbu al-Duhurmilitary airport in Syria’sIdlibgovernorate, joining growing Arab and Islamic calls for international action to stop repeated Israeli attacks on Syrian territory.Yemen’s Foreign Ministry described the strikes as a violation of Syria’s sovereignty and a flagrant breach of international law and the UN Charter.In a statement posted on X, the ministry warned that continued attacks threatened regional security and stability and called on the international community to act to halt the violations and hold those responsible accountable.Yemen also reaffirmed its solidarity with Syria and support for its sovereignty, territorial integrity and stability.The Muslim World League separately condemned the strikes, saying they violated international laws and norms.Its secretary-general,Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, denounced the attack on Syria’s sovereignty and resources and reiterated the organization’s solidarity with Syria in the face of threats to its security, sovereignty and the safety of its people.The UAE Foreign Ministry also strongly condemned the strikes, saying continued Israeli attacks on Syrian territory violated international law and the 1974 Disengagement Agreement between Syria and Israel.The ministry reaffirmed the UAE’s support for Syria’s stability and sovereignty over its entire territory and called for immediate international action to halt repeated attacks and prevent further escalation in the region.Syria has strongly condemned the strikes on Abu al-Duhur military airport, describing them as an unjustified act of aggression, a blatant violation of its sovereignty and a dangerous escalation threatening regional security.The strikes have drawn widespread Arab and Islamic condemnation, with calls for the international community to act to end repeated Israeli attacks on Syrian territory.R.D/ABD
