Damascus, Aug. 19 (SANA)Seven people were injured in traffic accidents and fires across Syria over the past 24 hours, the Syrian Civil Defense said Wednesday.

Civil Defenseteams responded to 12traffic accidentsthat left six people injured, according to a statement posted on Telegram. The teams provided first aid, transported the injured to hospitals and secured the accident sites.

Civil Defense teams also responded to 96 fires involving agricultural fields and crops, homes, shops, grass, trees, garbage and electrical wiring.

One firefighter was injured and received first aid at the scene, while the fires also caused material damage. Teams extinguished the blazes and cooled the affected sites to prevent them from reigniting.

Two days earlier, Civil Defense teams responded to 12 traffic accidents and 95 fires across several Syrian governorates, which left two people dead and 11 injured.
