Beirut, Aug. 19 (SANA)Lebanese PresidentJoseph Aounsaid Lebanon had regained its international standing and pledged to press ahead with efforts to rebuildstate institutionswhile addressing the situation in the south.

“We have returned Lebanon to the world map, and we will continue working to rebuild the state in parallel with efforts to end the current situation in the south,” the National News Agency (NNA) quoted Aoun as telling the board of the National Council for Scientific Research.

Aoun said reconstruction would be the main challenge after Israel withdraws from occupied towns and villages and theLebanese Armydeploys along the border.
