Damascus, Aug. 18 (SANA)Internal Securityforceson Tuesday arrested former ousted regime Major General Suhail Nadim Abbas after investigations established his involvement in military operations and violations against Syrians in several provinces.

In an official statement issued on Telegram, the Internal Security forces said, the Investigations showed that Abbas participated in the battles of Talul al-Safa in Sweida in 2018 as the commander of an assault group, as well as military operations in Daraa, Homs and Idleb.

The investigations also found that he had issued orders to open fire and use artillery and rocket launchers during a number of those operations.
