ИқтисодиётOn the journey to merging the potential of both regions13:57 / 18.08.2026

It was noted that Uzbekistan’s large-scale economic reforms focus on effectively utilizing regional investment potential, diversifying industries, deepening the processing of local raw materials, and boosting the production of export-oriented goods.

The parties explored methods to deepen cooperation between the two regions, proposing specific ideas to leverage Navoi region’s abundant resources and strategic transport and logistics advantages alongside Iran’s Central Province’s industrial and engineering capabilities. The delegation emphasized potential collaborations in the chemical and petrochemical sectors.

Finished products are made from raw materials such as PVC, urea, methanol, and caustic soda supplied by Navoiazot JSC. Discussions suggested localizing the manufacture of PVC pipes, cables, resin, water treatment chemicals, household chemicals, and detergents. Leveraging the experience of the Kfar Sava Industrial Zone and Kaveh Industrial City will help expand production capacities.

Forming a cluster focused on heavy engineering, mining equipment, and industrial services presents a promising cooperation opportunity. Large enterprises in Navoi region, such as NMMC, Navoiuran, and Qizilqumcement, generate consistent demand for modern mining and technological equipment as well as spare parts. Meeting this demand locally can bring significant economic benefits. By combining Iran’s expertise in industrial and engineering sectors with the production capacities of major Navoi enterprises, this approach can establish a new cluster dedicated to mining equipment manufacturing and industrial services.

Cooperation in the energy sector and electrical industry is seen as a promising area. Specifically, there is a proposal to set up a local assembly base for transformers, switchgear, and renewable energy equipment in Navoi FEZ.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to develop joint projects that leverage the capabilities of Navoi International Airport and the “porto-franco” free customs zone for mutual benefit.
