The Prime Minister expressed his strong condemnation of the drone attack that targeted the private office of the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, and the residence of the Director of the Protection Agency (Al-Barastan), stressing that these attacks represent a targeting of Iraq’s security and stability, and that harming the security of the Kurdistan Region is harming Iraqi national security. Mr. Al-Zaidi stressed the government’s categorical rejection of any attack targeting Iraq’s lands, institutions, or citizens, stressing that the state will not be lax in protecting Iraq’s security and sovereignty, and that the competent authorities will investigate the circumstances of these attacks and prosecute those responsible for them in accordance with the law.
