Doha, Aug. 18 (SANA)Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani discussed regional and international issues of mutual interest withBahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa during a phone call Monday.

QatarNews Agency reported that the two leaders reviewed relations between their countries and ways to support and strengthen them across various fields to advance shared interests and meet the aspirations of both peoples.

The talks come amid instability in the Middle East, with attention focused on U.S.-Iran negotiations aimed at de-escalation and restoring navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, where vessel traffic has declined significantly, affecting global trade.
