Abu Dhabi, Aug. 18 (SANA)The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned Tuesday an Iranian attack involving two drones that targeted Iraqi Kurdistan Prime MinisterMasrour Barzani’s private office and the residence of the director of the Protection Agency in Erbil.“This aggressive attack constitutes a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the Republic of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and poses a threat to its security and stability,” theUAE Ministry of Foreign Affairssaid.The ministry expressed full solidarity with Iraq and the Kurdistan Regional Government and support for measures to preserve their security and stability.The Kurdistan Region’s Counter-Terrorism Service said Monday that two drones targeted the prime minister’s office and the headquarters of the director of the Security Agency, with no casualties reported.Iraqi Foreign MinisterFuad Husseincondemned the attack as a dangerous and unjustified escalation that could threaten Iraq’s security and stability, with repercussions for regional security.
