Mauritania has launched its campaign for the election of its candidate to head the International Organisation of the Francophonie. And it was in Diamena that Noakot came to seek significant support , a choice that was no accident because the relations between the two countries are close, privileged and proven. It was therefore quite natural that the Marshal of Chad, Mohammad Idriss de Bitnou, received in first audience the week of the emissary of his brother and friend, President Mohammed Olda, Sheikh Alzwani. The Minister of Economic Affairs and Development, Abdallah Suleiman Siria, personally delivered the message to its distinguished recipient, and this diplomatic gesture, he confided, is above all a message of friendship and fraternity. You know that the relations between our two countries and the relations between our two presidents are excellent and very old, and you know that we are partners within the G5 Sahel, within all other organizations, and that we are both in this region of the Sahel, and that the two presidents have succeeded in overcoming the difficulties that the Sahel region had experienced and have succeeded in ensuring that our two countries can continue on a path that is the path of stability, the path of economic development and prosperity that we would like to ensure is shared as widely as possible in Mauritania but also in this beautiful brother country of Chad. Beyond greetings and expressions of consideration, the message delivered to the Marshal of Chad also concerns Mauritania's candidacy for the International Organisation of the Francophonie. The minister was also accompanied by the candidate chosen by his country to run for the position of secretary general. This is Minister Dr. Kumbaba, who was presented to the Head of State during the audience. According to the Mauritanian hemisphere, it embodies Sahelian ambition. His Excellency the President of the Republic of Mauritania has chosen to present Dr. Kbaba, who has over 20 years of experience in the government and also in the Mauritanian high administration, and who is a talented politician and a woman of culture as well. And we think it's a good choice both for Mauritania and for the Sahel and for Africa in general because we need to make the Sahel a little more visible and we need to find someone who is able to bring the specific problems of the Sahel to the international stage. By seeking the support of Chad, Mauritania confirms the central place that Ngamena occupies in African diplomatic circles. This recognition honors the leadership of Marshal Mmad Idriss de Bitnou, whose foreign policy, as announced in project 11, makes Chad a key player in mediation and a guarantor of regional stability. And for the Mauritanian candidate, the support of Chad could well make the difference in a race where regional balances often count for much more than individual achievements. Mr.
