Every role within Government contributes to the effective delivery of public service. From those who maintain our workplaces and support daily operations, to those who provide transport and logistical support, to those entrusted with leading Government. Each role is important to the functioning of Government and service to the people of Tonga.

The Prime Minister’s Office acknowledges the dedicated service of Ms Liumounu Fakakovi, who served as a cleaner at the Office for 24 years, and Mr Sinamoni Lomu, who served as a driver for 19 years.

Both have now retired following many years of committed service.

While their roles were often behind the scenes, their contributions were an important part of the daily work of the Prime Minister’s Office. Their years of service demonstrate the commitment and dedication of public servants across Government, regardless of their role or position.

The Prime Minister’s Office extends its sincere appreciation to Ms Fakakovi and Mr Lomu for their years of service to Government and the people of Tonga, and wishes them well in their retirement.
