The meeting witnessed an emphasis on supporting the government's efforts in implementing its ministerial program and priorities, in a way that contributes to meeting the needs and requirements of citizens in improving the living and service reality, enhancing security and stability throughout the country, as well as ensuring an improvement in the level of performance of state institutions and meeting the needs of citizens. The meeting discussed ways to strengthen the economic situation in the country and confront the current challenges, especially those related to the decline in the country’s imports due to the repercussions of the war in the region and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, where the need to diversify sources of national income, enhance non-oil revenues, and raise the level of financial management, was stressed to enhance the ability of the Iraqi economy to confront crises. The meeting also witnessed an emphasis on commitment to the principle of restricting weapons to the state as a basis for consolidating state authority and the rule of law, especially after the entry into force of the withdrawal of international coalition forces from Iraq. The attendees also stressed the importance of developing the capabilities of the Iraqi armed forces in all their formations and enabling them to perform their tasks in protecting the country and preserving the security of citizens. The attendees stressed the continuation of work in combating administrative and financial corruption, strengthening measures to protect public funds, and legally prosecuting those involved in corruption cases and holding them accountable. During the meeting, the draft money recovery law proposed by the government was discussed, and the need to proceed with the necessary measures to recover public funds and strengthen the integrity and anti-corruption system. The attendees stressed the importance of strengthening the legislative and oversight role of the House of Representatives and accelerating the approval of priority draft laws, especially those directly related to citizens’ living and service requirements, in a way that contributes to supporting reform paths and improving the performance of state institutions. The meeting of the presidencies stressed the importance of continuing cooperation and coordination between the presidencies and various state institutions. In order to resolve the completion of the ministerial cabinet as soon as possible, to enhance the government’s work and enable it to perform its tasks in an integrated manner, helping it implement its executive program and meet national entitlements.
