Vicepresidenta Raquel Peña juramenta a Jean Luis Rodríguez como nuevo ministro de Vivienda
SantoDomingo.–The Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña, swore in this Monday Jean Luis Rodríguez as the new Minister of Housing, Habitat and Buildings (Mivhed), appointed by President Luis Abinader through Decree No. 554-26.
During the formal ceremony, Peña wished Rodríguez success in this new responsibility at the head of an institution that plays a fundamental role in the housing policy and the development of the country's public infrastructure.
Upon assuming office, Rodríguez thanked President Luis Abinader for the trust placed in him and assured that he arrives at Mivhed with the determination to continue the progress made and contribute from the experience accumulated during his public administration.
“We come from a previous experience where we were able to give good results to the country and that is the commitment,” said Rodríguez, who stated that he will work “morning, afternoon and night” to strengthen the work of the ministry and promote new initiatives.
Jean Luis Rodríguez arrives at Mivhed after serving, between 2020 and 2026, as executive director of the Dominican Port Authority (Apordom), a period during which he was linked to the management and development of the national port infrastructure.
Rodríguez has training in Business Administration, Political Science and Economics, as well as master's studies in Business and International Economic Relations.

Rodríguez cuenta con formación en Administración de Empresas, Ciencias Políticas y Economía, además de estudios de maestría en Negocios y Relaciones Económicas Internacionales.
