The Voice Afrique francophone 2026 : Saara HOUANSOU accueillie en héroïne au Bénin
Crowned champion of The Voice Francophone Africa 2026, Saara HOUANSOU returned to Cotonou on the evening of Sunday August 16, 2026. On her arrival at Cotonou International Airport, she was welcomed in the Salon d'Honneur by Mr. Jacques AGUIA-DAHO, Chief of Staff of the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage, representing the Minister. In her first words on Beninese soil, the champion expressed her deep gratitude to the people of Benin for the mobilization and support she received throughout the adventure. She also showed her gratitude to the Institutions of the Republic and particularly welcomed the support of the President of the Republic, Mr. Romuald WADAGNI, for her journey. After the airport, head for the Place de l'Amazone, where an impressive crowd of Beninese men and women had mobilized to celebrate her coronation. In an atmosphere full of joy and fervor, Saara HOUANSOU presented her trophy to the public, sharing with her compatriots this victory which makes Benin shine on the African scene. Songs and cheers punctuated this great moment of communion. A popular fervor commensurate with the feat accomplished by the young artist and the pride aroused by her journey. Through the coronation of Saara HOUANSOU, it is also the talent and potential of Beninese youth which are affirmed. A bold and ambitious youth, capable, through their work and their talent, of flying the colors of Benin beyond its borders.
