Microsoft begins integrating Copilot services into a unified app

Washington, Aug. 17 (SANA)Microsoft has begun consolidating its Copilot and Microsoft 365 Copilot applications into a single Copilot app, bringing together AI tools for individual users and businesses on one platform.The Verge, a technology website, reported two days ago thatMicrosofthad begun gradually rolling out the new experience across the web and mobile devices, with Windows and Mac updates expected later. The unified app will retain the Copilot name, while personal and work account data will remain separate to protect privacy and security.Users will be able to sign in with personal, work or school accounts and switch between them according to their needs. The app will also provide access to Microsoft 365 services, including Word, Excel and Outlook.Users will be able to work with their own files and documents and receive answers based on their content and context, expanding the AI assistant’s capabilities for office-related tasks.The integration will also discontinue some features available to individual users, includingGroup Chatand the ability to create podcasts from within Copilot. The Deep Research feature will no longer be available to individual users within the app starting tomorrow.Microsoft continues to offer different service tiers based on account type and subscription. The free version allows conversations, image generation and file uploads within certain limits, while paid plans provide higher usage limits and additional features.The integration is part of Microsoft’s efforts to simplify access to itsAI toolsand office services through a single platform combining personal and professional use while maintaining separation between account data.
