Madrid, Aug. 16 (SANA)Spain on Sunday condemned Israeli settlers for surroundingPalestinianfamilies in Qusra, south of Nablus in theWest Bank, and called for an end to violence and intimidation against Palestinians.

Spain’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement posted on X that Palestinians living under occupation must be protected in accordance with international humanitarian law and that those responsible for violence must be held accountable.

The ministry also called for an end to all settlement activity in the occupied Palestinian territory, saying Israeli settlements violateinternational law.

Madrid reaffirmed its commitment to the two-state solution, describing it as the only path toward a just and lasting peace in the region.

Israeli settlers have surrounded the homes of Palestinian families in Qusra since last week, blocking access roads with stones and setting up a tent nearby. Medical teams and foreign activists have also been prevented from reaching the families.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission,Israeli occupation forcesand settlers carried out 2,256 attacks against Palestinians, their land and property in July.

The commission said Israeli occupation forces carried out 1,458 of the attacks, while settlers were responsible for 798.
