Presidente Abinader impulsa una educación con más oportunidades, mejores condiciones de aprendizaje y mayor cercanía con las comunidades
Santo Domingo.-President Luis Abinader highlighted the actions carried out by the Government to strengthen public education, improve learning conditions and bring greater training opportunities to students and communities throughout the country.
When leading a luncheon meeting with 350 students from public and private educational centers of the 15-06 School District, at the Pedro Brand sports center, the president, accompanied by the Minister of Education, Luis Miguel De Camps, announced that the Government is working so that, next November, between 60% and 70% of the country's polytechnics have the equipment required for the practices of the different technical areas in which they form the students of the public education system.
The governor stated that the re-equipment process will continue until educational centers have the necessary resources to adequately develop the teaching and learning process, especially in areas that require specialized tools and equipment for practical training.
The head of state also urged students to take care of the equipment available in their educational centers, remembering that these are acquired with the resources provided by citizens through the payment of taxes and are intended to strengthen the preparation of new generations.
As part of his commitment to an education closer to the communities, the head of state gave as an example the construction of an Experimental High School of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) on the Duarte Highway, a work that allows expanding educational options for students from Pedro Brand and nearby areas.
During the meeting, the president motivated young people to maintain perseverance, discipline and work as pillars to achieve their goals, while urging them to take advantage of the training opportunities available to them.
President Abinader highlighted that difficulties are part of the path to achieving goals, but called on students to maintain focus and determination to overcome obstacles and continue advancing in their personal and professional projects.
Likewise, he recommended that young people learn English and develop skills that allow them to expand their academic and work opportunities, considering mastery of this language as a very important tool for employability and professional growth.
The president also reaffirmed the Government's commitment to the comprehensive training of students, through an education that combines knowledge, values, technical skills and greater access to opportunities for their development.
During the exchange, the students presented proposals to continue improving their educational centers, including the expansion of infrastructure, the construction of sports roofs and the strengthening of school feeding services.
In recognition of the academic performance of the young participants, the rector of the Technological Institute of the Americas (ITLA), Jimmy Rosario Bernard, announced that, by order of President Abinader, each of the students present would receive a laptop and a scholarship to attend training programs offered by that institution.
The governor of the Santo Domingo province, Lucrecia Santana, and the director of the National Institute of Physical Education (Inefi), Alberto Rodríguez, participated in the activity. The invocation was given by the student Andry Kamil AcevedoPuello, from the Professor Evangelina Rodríguez Urbano González Lyceum of Arts.

Como parte de su compromiso con unaeducación más cercana a las comunidades, el jefe de Estado puso como ejemplo la construcción de unLiceo Experimental de la Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD)en la Autopista Duarte, obra que permite ampliar las opciones educativas para estudiantes de Pedro Brand y zonas cercanas. Durante el encuentro, el mandatario motivó a los jóvenes a mantenerla perseverancia, la disciplina y el trabajocomo pilares para alcanzar sus objetivos, al tiempo que los exhortó a aprovechar las oportunidades de formación que tienen a su alcance. El presidente Abinader destacó que las dificultades forman parte del camino hacia el cumplimiento de las metas, perollamó a los estudiantes a mantener el enfoque y la determinaciónpara superar los obstáculos y continuar avanzando en susproyectos personales y profesionales. Asimismo,recomendó a los jóvenes aprender inglésy desarrollar competencias que les permitan ampliar sus oportunidades académicas y laborales, al considerar el dominio de este idioma como unaherramienta de gran importancia para la empleabilidad y el crecimiento profesional. El presidente reafirmó además elcompromiso del Gobierno con la formación integralde los estudiantes, mediante una educación que combineconocimientos, valores, habilidades técnicasy mayores posibilidades deacceso a oportunidadespara su desarrollo. Durante el intercambio,los estudiantes plantearon propuestaspara continuar mejorando sus centros educativos, entre ellas la ampliación deinfraestructuras, la construcción detechados deportivosy el fortalecimiento de los servicios dealimentación escolar. Como reconocimiento aldesempeño académicode los jóvenes participantes, el rector del Instituto Tecnológico de Las Américas (ITLA),Jimmy Rosario Bernard,anunció que, por disposición del presidente Abinader,cada uno de los estudiantes presentes recibiría una laptop y una becapara cursar programas de formación ofrecidos por esa institución. En la actividad participaron la gobernadora de la provincia Santo Domingo,Lucrecia Santana,y el director del Instituto Nacional de Educación Física (Inefi),Alberto Rodríguez.
