I received the report “The truth of exile.” I received it with the seriousness and respect it deserves, aware that each testimony collected represents a story of broken dignity that must be repaired.
I also received your recommendations, to respond to them in light of these inputs and continue with greater vigor the actions we have started.
Guatemala sees them. He recognizes them. And he owes you a deep debt. Our government has assumed and will continue to assume the responsibility of settling it.

Lo recibí con la seriedad y el respeto que merece, conscientes de que cada testimonio recogido representa una historia de dignidad quebrantada que deberá ser reparada. Recibí también sus recomendaciones, para darles respuesta a la luz de estos insumos y continuar con más ahínco las acciones que hemos iniciado. Guatemala los ve. Los reconoce. Y tiene una deuda profunda con ustedes. Nuestro gobierno ha asumido y seguirá asumiendo la responsabilidad de saldarla.
