Today we celebrate 975 years of Lavra, almost a millennium. More than the history of individual people, families, families. But still less than everything that unites us with you - unites us into a community, into a nation, into a state. Unifies in Ukraine. We must protect each of our national shrines. And all the more so - to protect now, when the challenges of the passage of time have been joined by the challenges of the absolutely godless, stupid Russian war against Ukraine and against all places of our culture, history, our memory, against all places of humanity. You have to be totally worthless and totally stupid to hit the Lavra, but Russia did it. From an address on the occasion of the celebration of the 975th anniversary of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. 1/3

Сьогодні ми відзначаємо 975 років Лаврі, майже тисячоліття. Більше, ніж історія окремих людей, сімей, родів. Але все ж таки менше, ніж усе те, що нас із вами об’єднує – об’єднує у спільноту, у націю, у державу. Об’єднує в Україну. Ми повинні берегти кожну таку нашу національну святиню. І тим більше – берегти зараз, коли до викликів плину часу додалися ще й виклики абсолютно безбожної, тупої російської війни проти України й проти всіх місць нашої культури, історії, нашої пам’яті, проти всіх місць людяності. Треба бути абсолютно нікчемними й абсолютно глупими, щоб ударити по Лаврі, але Росія це зробила. Зі звернення з нагоди відзначення 975-річчя Києво-Печерської лаври. 1/3
