Today I signed a decree on measures at the level of our state to protect Ukrainian national shrines. A law on our Ukrainian national shrines will be prepared before the Independence Day of Ukraine - we talked about it with the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk. And I ask the parliamentarians to support the law to clearly define what our shrines are and what steps are needed to protect our shrines throughout the territory of Ukraine. And that this status of national sanctuaries, which will be enshrined in law, will give more opportunities to the teams of our sanctuaries, to all those who work to protect Ukrainian heritage, so that it will be a strengthening for them both in terms of working conditions, and in financial opportunities, and in political and legal opportunities for the protection of sanctuaries, our museum collections, our heritage. Сьогодні я підписав указ про заходи на рівні нашої держави, щоб захистити українські національні святині. До Дня Незалежності України буде підготовлений закон про наші українські національні святині – ми говорили про це з Головою Верховної Ради Русланом Стефанчуком. І я прошу парламентарів підтримати закон, щоб визначити чітко, що є нашими святинями та які кроки потрібні для захисту наших святинь на всій території України. І щоб цей статус національних святинь, який буде закріплений законом, дав більше можливостей командам наших святинь, усім, хто працює для захисту української спадщини, щоб це було посиленням для них і в умовах праці, і у фінансових можливостях, і в політичних та юридичних можливостях для захисту святинь, наших музейних колекцій, нашої спадщини.
