President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed concluded their official visit to HA. Utheemu, to participate in the official National Day celebrations, and returned to Malé.

During their visit to Utheemu, the President and First Lady participated in several activities commemorating National Day. These included inaugurating the Boduthakurufaanu Handhaanee Dhoroashi in HA. Utheemu, and historic Vaahaka Vau (Story Forest), as well as attending the official National Day function. Furthermore, the President held discussions with the Utheemu Island Council, the Women’s Development Committee (WDC), heads of local institutions, and met with the island's student community.

At the official function, the President presented the National Award of Honour and the National Award of Recognition to this year’s recipients.

The President and First Lady were accompanied on the visit by a high-level delegation comprising Cabinet Ministers and senior Government officials.
