Riyadh, Aug. 15 (SANA)The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) warned of the dangers of the Israeli occupation authorities’ announcement about taking measures and granting illegal powers, as part of the implementation of plans to impose unlawful annexation and the alleged “Israeli sovereignty” over the occupiedPalestinian territories.

OIC General Secretariat said in a statement published on its official website that the Israeli occupation and colonial settlement, along with all procedures and entities associated with it, are considered illegal, and everything emanating from them constitutes a flagrant violation ofinternational law, international legitimacy resolutions, and the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice.

It called on the international community, especially theUnited Nations Security Council, to bear its responsibilities and take the necessary measures to compel Israel- the occupying power- to stop its policies based on acts of killing, settlement, annexation, organized terrorism, blockade, and forced displacement, and to comply with international resolutions and treaties.

OIC on Friday warned of the danger of escalation of organized terrorism committed by extremist Israeli settler groups under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces in theWest Bank,especially the siege and aggression that has been ongoing for several days on the town of Qasra, south of Nablus.
