En atención a fortalecer el deporte y la formación integral de estudiantes, presidente Abinader inaugura techado en politécnico de San Juan
San Juan.- The educational community of the Mercedes Consuelo Matos Polytechnic in San Juan de la Maguana, joyfully received President Luis Abinader, who inaugurated a new roof for the promotion of sports and healthy recreation among young people.
The space will also serve as a multipurpose room and comes to realize a desire of the students, teachers and administrative staff of the center.
“The president continues to comprehensively transform the south of the Dominican Republic with transcendental works, the creation of decent spaces and other types of facilities so that 81,000 students in this region can benefit from having a decent education,” said Francisco D’Oleo, vice minister of Teacher Accreditation and Certification of the Ministry of Education.
There they will be able to continue developing the sports skills of young people, which allows them to start this area and thus train future athletes, the official said.
On her side, with joy on the surface, fifth-year student Cristin Cuello Jiméneza thanked the president and highlighted her commitment to the transformation of Dominican education. She described this roof as an ideal space for coexistence and comprehensive development of the school and the community.
Standing in front of President Abinader, Cristin asked for help to complete the equipment of the school cafeteria, the completion of the initial level classrooms and the Plaza Enriquillo, also located within the Polytechnic.
Likewise, the parish priest Ramón Emilio del Rosario, who blessed the event, thanked for the good news that comes with each visit of the president in favor of the progress of the province.
The work included the construction of bathrooms, painting of stands, exterior conditioning and landscaping and was carried out by the School Infrastructure Directorate, directed by engineer Roberto Herrera.
