Washington, Aug. 14 (SANA)The U.S. military has launched a multinational task force to operate attack drones across multiple domains in theMiddle East, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said Thursday.

The unit, named Task Force Falcon Strike, will operate one-way attack drones and unmanned systems above, on and below the surface of the sea, with military personnel from theUnited Statesand regional partners,CENTCOMsaid in a statement posted on X.

The command said integrating regional partners into the task force would expand attack drone capabilities across the Middle East and contribute to what it described as a unified multinational, multidomain deterrent force.

“Task Force Falcon Strike will build on the success of the Scorpion Strike drone task force, in light of the tremendous innovation we are seeing from our regional allies and partners,” CENTCOM Commander Adm. Brad Cooper said.

Cooper said the United States and its regional partners would be stronger by integrating and deploying new capabilities together.

Falcon Strike was launched nine months after CENTCOM established Task Force Scorpion Strike, which it described as the U.S. military’s first dedicated one-way attack drone unit in the Middle East.
